Photek's new release, Form and Function, is another riveting adventure into the precise, urban sounds of British Drum 'n' Bass. There is a very unique feel to the entire aural experience… programmed beats blast away and syncopated snares rush over grooving bass-lines. It seems as though Form and Function has more of a techno feel to the songs as opposed to the bluesy, breakbeat feel of Photek's last release, Modus Operandi. There are also remixes from prolific jungle revolutionaries including Doc Scott, Digital, J Majik, as well as a few others. Without a doubt, this release will have you recycling the sounds for months to come. Form and Function is the epitome of fine electronic music. I cannot recommend it enough. Rating: 10/10
